California Privacy Notice

Last Updated: October 8, 2026

This California Privacy Notice applies to residents of California and describes how Medicarely collects, uses, sells, and shares Personal Information in connection with medicarely.org, and the rights available to you under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”).

Notice at Collection

In the preceding 12 months, we have collected, and may continue to collect, the following categories of Personal Information. For each category we list the sources, purposes, and the categories of third parties to which it may be disclosed, sold, or shared.

  • Identifiers — name, email address, telephone number, IP address, device and cookie identifiers.
  • Customer records — name, email address, and telephone number provided through a form or call.
  • Characteristics of protected classifications — age range.
  • Insurance and health-related information — current Medicare or Medicare eligibility/enrollment status. This may be Sensitive Personal Information under California law.
  • Internet or electronic network activity — browsing activity, pages viewed, referring pages, and interactions with the Service or advertisements.
  • Geolocation data — approximate location derived from IP address or ZIP code (not precise geolocation).
  • Audio information — recordings of telephone calls, where applicable.

Sources: directly from you; automatically through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies; and from Carrier Partners, advertising, analytics, and call-tracking providers.

Purposes: operating the Service; connecting you with a licensed insurance agency or other Medicare insurance partner (“Carrier Partner”) as you request; generating, qualifying, and administering leads; attributing calls and leads to advertising; analytics and advertising measurement; security and fraud prevention; and legal and compliance obligations.

Third parties: Carrier Partners, advertising and marketing partners, analytics providers, call-tracking and telecommunications providers, and other service providers.

Retention: Medicarely generally retains Medicare lead Personal Information for five (5) years from collection, or longer where reasonably necessary for legal, regulatory, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Medicarely receives monetary compensation for Medicare leads transferred to Carrier Partners. To the extent such a transfer constitutes a “sale” under the CCPA, we may have sold identifiers, customer records, age range, insurance and health-related information, and approximate location to Carrier Partners in the preceding 12 months.

We may also disclose identifiers and internet activity to advertising technology providers in a manner that constitutes “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.

We do not knowingly sell or share Personal Information of consumers we know are under 16 years of age.

You have the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information. Visit Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, email privacy@medicarely.org, or enable a Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal in your browser, which we treat as a valid opt-out request for that browser.

Sensitive Personal Information

Your Medicare status may be considered Sensitive Personal Information. We use it only as reasonably necessary to provide the Medicare Service you requested and for related compliance purposes. Where the CCPA provides a right to limit the use or disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information, you may exercise that right by contacting us as described below.
